Shetland

Shetland is a subarctic archipelago located about 100 miles north of mainland Scotland, marking the northernmost point of the United Kingdom. Comprising approximately 100 islands (only 16 of which are inhabited) the region is characterised by a unique blend of stunning natural beauty, rich Norse and Viking history, strong local traditions, and abundant wildlife and bird colonies for nature lovers and photographers to see.
